Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?
All materials and equipment are provided! If you’d like to bring your own machine to get comfortable with it, you can.
Do I need to have experience to join?
Nope! Most of our workshops are beginner-friendly. We’ll teach you step-by-step, and all materials are included unless stated otherwise.
Start with our Beginner Sewing Workshop to learn the basics!
Once you’ve completed it, you’ll be ready to level up with Tailor Your Threads or Make Your Own Clothes.
How long & when are workshops?
Most workshops are 1.5 to 2 hours long.
Sewing Workshops are held Monday -Sunday.

What do we make in the workshop?
In Beginner Sewing, you’ll create a small project such as a pillow. More advanced workshops like Tailor Your Threads and Make Your Own Clothes teach garment (re)construction and customization.
How do I start my sewing journey at Moxie & what is the best order of workshops?
We recommend starting with our Beginner Sewing Workshop, where you’ll learn the fundamentals — how to use a sewing machine, sew straight lines, and complete a small project. Once you’ve taken the beginner class, you can continue your learning with either Tailor Your Threads, where you’ll learn how to alter or upcycle garments, or Make Your Own Clothes, where you’ll design, cut, and sew a full outfit from start to finish. We recommend booking a bundle deal to help with this!
If you’d like more hands-on instruction or plan to make sewing a long-term hobby, you can join our Moxie Sewing Membership. Members get recurring access to workshops each month, priority booking, and exclusive discounts — making it the perfect option for students who want consistent practice and community.
What is the age requirement for our workshops?
Our workshops are for participants 18 and older. Guests under 18 must attend with an accompanying adult, and both individuals are required to purchase their own seat.
How do I book a workshop?
