DO I HAVE TO TAKE BEGINNER SEWING FIRST? +

Not necessarily. If you already know how to thread a sewing machine, operate it independently, sew a basic seam and control your stitching, you can start with Make Your Own Clothes I.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I’M READY FOR MYOC I? +

You should be able to thread your machine, operate it without step-by-step help, sew a basic seam and maintain basic control of your stitching.

DO I HAVE TO TAKE MYOC I BEFORE MYOC II? +

MYOC I is recommended before MYOC II, but you can start with MYOC II if you already have equivalent garment-construction experience.

WHAT DO I MAKE IN MYOC I? +

You’ll make a pair of pants while learning garment assembly, curved seams, waistbands, hemming, finishing and basic fit.
